Flower Weaving
This is another great activity to enhance children’s motor skills and concentration. I set up the play area by placing different flowers into bowls, then placing cardboard cut outs with elastic bands next to flowers.
In the evening, when she woke up from her nap, I showed her how to weave a flower through the elastic band. And immediately, she exclaimed “wow good idea mummy!” and went to it herself.
Once she was finished weaving the flowers, we added some stamps, glitter, and threaded some strings through them onto a large stick.
This became a lovely nature craft display for our home. And every time she sees it, my daughter points to it and recalls how she made it by herself.
